This screen shows open schools within approximately 5 kilometres of the property location using Department for Education school establishment data. It helps provide local amenity context for the desktop research report.

Purpose of this screen

The Schools screen displays nearby schools on the map and in a searchable results list. Each result includes the school name, address, education phase and gender classification.

Only establishments recorded as open are shown.

How to use this screen

1. Review the property marker and the surrounding 5 kilometre search area.
2. Use the map to see the general location and distribution of nearby schools.
3. Review the schools list alongside the map.
4. Enter a name in the filter box to find a specific school.
5. Use the Phase filter to narrow results, for example primary, secondary or 16 plus.
6. Use the Gender filter to narrow results by mixed, boys’ or girls’ provision.
7. Add relevant commentary in the text box below the map.
8. Select AI Suggestion for help drafting wording, where available.
9. Select Update Report to save the approved commentary.

Understanding the results

The results identify open school establishments within the selected distance of the property. They are intended to provide a general overview of local education provision and should not be interpreted as a recommendation, ranking or assessment of school quality.

The displayed address is the establishment address and does not confirm catchment eligibility, admissions availability, transport arrangements or the school place that would be offered to a particular household.

Important distinction

Distance is based on the property location and is intended as an approximate local-area guide. It does not represent walking routes, travel times or school catchment boundaries.

This screen only adds school information and commentary to the report when text is entered and saved. If no commentary is provided, neither the school data nor related commentary will be included.

Why this matters
